Red Ribbon Week is next week, October 27-31. Here is the schedule of events:
Monday, October 27: "I Pledge to Be Drug-Free!" - Students will receive a red ribbon to wear each day. They may wear a plain red t-shirt or polo shirt with their khaki bottoms. Students will also receive a drug-free sticker.
Tuesday, October 28: "Color My World Healthy" - Students will participate in a coloring contest.
Wednesday, October 29: "Team Up Against Drugs" - Students may wear a team jersey with their uniform bottoms.

  • $1.00 Blue Jeans on Fridays
Students are able to wear jeans each Friday (or the last school day of the week) for $1.00. Each child that wears jeans needs to bring the dollar with them on that particular day. On those days students may wear their NPE spirit shirt or a uniform shirt. If students do not wear jeans on Fridays, they must wear their khaki bottoms. The jeans must be free of holes and other extra designs. Please help support our school in raising funds to purchase additional materials for the students.
  • Eureka Math Information
If you visit our Useful Links page, you will see some links for Eureka Math help. In this time of curriculum transition, we know that parents have many questions about how to best help their children. These links will give you information and activities that will allow you to do just that. You can also link to the Vernon Parish website, under Links for Parents, where you will find even more information and help under the Parents tab. Continue to visit our Useful Links page and the Vernon Parish site as more information and links will be added frequently. Also be looking for Math Help newsletters to be sent home periodically as the students progress through the different lessons.
  • Spooky Science Night
We will host a science night on Tuesday, October 28 from 5:30-7:00. Come be amazed at some experiments demonstrated by the Chemistry Department of McNeese State University, and then participate in some other experiments with your child. We hope to see you then.
